SO BLIND !

"There's none so blind as the one who refuses to see". Scientists may warn us as much as they want about Global Warming, its dangers and its causes, people hear what they will. They continue their lethal emissions of greenhouse effect gases, and even increase these emissions year after years. Out of absolutely no knowledge they decide that the situation isn't so bad after all and scientists are just stupid fanatics who scream their lungs out for no reason. And those who declare being "green people" are even worse since, instead of tagetting the very poison: fossil energies like Oil and Coal, they target nuclear energy which is the only one which, right now, can efficiently compete with fossil energies. Clean energies like solar or wind, have a future yet, this is NOW that we must stop CO2 emissions since tomorrow will be too late. People are disconnected from Reality and live enclosed into their cognitive and neurotic cocoons, totally identified with their thoughts which interpret the Real World according to their "dreams". Yet we know the consequences of the ostrich policy .... it doesn't bring any good. We are facing the worse war Humankind had to face ever during its long history, yet, we continue living as usual our trivial and leisury life as if nothing's happening. Since Kyoto Summit in 1992 we drag our feet and continue our gadget life as usual. It really seems that nothing can be done to save Humankind from its blindness and maybe we must go through the cataclysm for us to open our eyes, that's really sad indeed.
Humankind has reached Globalization just like a fetus after nine months of gestation reaches its birth into the World. Many impulses push us towards Globalization, our global economy, our global communication system (Internet) our global information system yet, even if all these impulses fail in unifying us, Global Warming imposes us to answer this global and lethal threat at a global scale or disappear. We have no choice and ostrich policy unfortunatelly isn't an option. Unfortunately, the way the leading nations answer this terrible challenge is frightening. They behave as if we had all the time we want, and decade after decade they postpone their very duty indefinitely and put their shit on the future generations. They behave as if there was no threat over Humankind's head whatsoever, and inject more and more of the poison, CO2, that provokes Mother Earth deadly fever. Hurricanes are becoming stronger and more numerous, droughts and floods succeed one after the other at a faster rhythm, people have started to die massively because of Global Warming, but we remain blind and insensitive, all we want is more fun and more fuel for our litttle cars, and what will be the fate of our children in a near future, we absolutely don't care about it. Very civilized indeed !!!

OUTRAGE.

Since Kyoto Summit in 1992, some 20 years ago, America drags its feet and refuses to fill its responsabilities towards our planet, and they are huge ! Indeed, it is only recently that America has been surpassed by China in the amount of CO2 released in the atmosphere.

We know that Global Warming is mainly caused by CO2 emanations and the IPCC as well as the greatest scientists, like James Lovelock for instance, are warning us that if nothing is quickly done Global Warming will bolt in an exponential feedback loop that'll escape our control and maybe Earth regulating mechanisms too.

This means hundreds of million deads for the decades to come, if we don't move immediately, and drastically reduce our CO2 emanations.

Do you know what America, this great country is doing ? Is it eventually reducing is CO2 emanation ? Not at all and in fact, right the opposite. It is just embarking onto a campain of Oil wells drilling that'll make of this great country within the ten next years, the first producer of Oil on Earth. This of course will dramatically increase CO2 emanations on our planet while our main problem is to swiftly reduce them.

America possesses an advanced technology notably in Solar energy which could make the difference even though it is a bit expansive. A solar powerplant costs twice the price of a coal one, it is true, but America wastes so much money anyway !

The sole Iraq war, which, remember, was based on a lie, has costed 3000 billion dollars to the US taxpayer and for what really ? Iraq after American soldiers are gone will fall into the shia Islamists hands and Tehran's regime does everything needed for that. Also, the war in Afghanistan costs 10 billion dollars a month. This simply shows that when America wants to find money it can ... but not for Global Warming and Humankind survival, why !?

So, the way America with its Oil wells drilling policy turns its back to the most crucial challenge Humanity faces since the very beginning of its terrestrial adventure, is just blowing my mind, nothing less. Are America's deciders Aliens hiding behind the White House's veil ?

I have only two words for this behavior: insane and criminal ! Maybe America doesn't care about the rest of the Humankind on Earth, this we undestand well, but what about its own children ? What future for them ?

It is sad to see how Humankind remains unconcerned with a situation which may become cataclysmic if nothing is done. We know Global Warming is largely caused by greenhouse gases effect and that OIL and COAL are the main sources for CO2 release in the atmosphere yet, nothing is said about them and green people are screaming against nuclear powerplants while nuclear is for the moment at least the only source of energy that can replace fossile energies, since alternative energies are still non competitive at a wide scale. We need a a World Umbrella with Global Guidance. Nations must accept to lose their sovereignty at least on matter which concern problems which can be solved only at a global level.
